Yolo Area Regional Network

Present: Ronda Hernandez, Maynard Skinner, Jan Meizel, Kari Peterson, Vicki Suter, Tony Bernhard, Don Greenbaum, Sharon Hallberg

1. We went around the room and introduced ourselves, indicating our interest in participating in such an effort and our history and/or experience with issues of this sort.

2. We discussed the scope of the committee and ways we should consider organizing the the Yolo Area Regional Network in order to meet the needs of the players, institutions, communities we serve, etc., as outlined at the first Telecom Summit in February.

3. We brainstormed about who should be involved in such an effort: Kari- transcribe Jan's notes here.

4. We determined that there should be an "executive committee," made up of representatives from key groups, above. Individuals may include:

   Vicki Suter (UCD)
   Maynard Skinner (Davis, citizen at large)
   Kari Peterson (Davis Community Network, community media)
   Don Greenbaum (County Schools)
   A City of Woodland Representative (City of Wdld)
   Either Lynnel Pollack or Tom Stollard (County Bd of Supes)
   Tom Lumbrazo (County Chamber of Commerce)
   Mary Stevens (County Librarian)
   Lorraine Angston (Social Services)
   

5. Maynard agreed to serve as ongoing chair of this group.

6. Maynard volunteered to contact the folks listed in item 4, and determine their interest in serving on such an executive committee.

7. Set date/time and locale for next meeting.
