Field Trips

For students to be able to participate in field trips, all permission slips need to be completed correctly and without missing the information from the family required. Please, please, please when filling out permission slips for your child, be careful and be sure it is correctly completed. When I send documents to be completed and signed at home, I expect them to be returned the next few days. If students bring them the next day, they receive a small prize like stickers from making the teacher's work easier.

Booster Seat

If your child needs a booster seat, please don't forget to bring it when we have field trips or he/she won't be able to go.

California Law (Effective 01/01/2012):

• Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat.
• Children under the age of 8 who are 4' 9" or taller may be secured by a safety belt in the back seat.

Remember that when volunteering for a field trip it is not allowed to bring your other children or relatives (siblings, grandparents, friends).

The following field trips are scheduled for the 2015-2016 school year. The exact days are yet to be determined.

November or December- "Nimbus Fish Hatchery"

March - Release steelheads at "River Bend Park" or "Discovery Park"

April - Trip to a farm

I reserved seats to attend 4 shows at the DMTC, but I am waiting for confirmation. Each show is approximately 90 minutes long.These are the shows and dates:

-The Pirates of Penzance JR. Show: Thursday, Oct. 1, 2015, 9:15 am

-A Christmas Carol Show : Thursday, Dec. 3, 2015, 9:15 am

-Alice in Wonderland Show: Thursday, March 10, 2016, 9:15 am

- Shrek The Musical Show: Thursday, May 12, 2016, 9:15 am
