It's All in Your Mind. Our foods have, for centuries, been brightened with dyes-- Cheeses made more yellow, margarine dyed to better compete with butter. Alternatively, many are truly concerned about artificially brightening our food. Caving to pressure, General Mills stopped dying Fruit Loops, But soon relented back to dyes, resulting from a barrage of complaints. Humans, and especially we 'Americans', must just ingest colorful food, Claiming with no actual proof, that colorful food just 'plain tastes better'!
