Lita, The Nevada Mountain Woman. She came to live in Nevada with her husband To care for her aging parents. Peter, her husband, now works in the gold fields, Driving large equipment. Lita's voice is soft and has a tone of gentle supplication. She tends to the household, with a ready meal each evening. She also cares for her animals, especially her beloved peacocks. Her abilities reach out to building pens And other needed construction around the household. When time and the weather allow, The two of them hunt in the desert and sell fulgurites. That is how I found her online, writing her an inquiry letter. Collecting (by mail) fulgurites myself, I really wished to learn her trade. How do you find them? How do you collect them? So many questions from a novice fulgurite admirer. Well, wind blows, and the resulting product emerges from the sand! Very simple, but resulting in hours spent ferreting out these objects. Such citizens give color and life to our nation. I am in awe and wish I were once again young, joining the hunt! Frank Maurer 26 January 2026 2130 Hours.
