Memorial Day--May 2024. Once again we commemorate a day To remember those who died amidst the horrors of war, Participating in conflicts which most personally never chose. Being very aggressive and yet just another animal life form, Humans have endeavored, but not yet learned How to solve potential conflicts relating to territory and ideology. Yes, attempts have continually been made, but with no final success. Are we locked into the confines of our reptilian brain, Or will we be, at some time in our future history, Able to gently and peaceably come to the necessary compromises Which will insure our successful sojourn On this beautiful, very special blue planet?
