Ontario--Lake of Shining Waters. The Iroquois people called this lake, Ontario, Which means 'Beautiful Lake' or 'Lake of shining waters.' The new French conquerors adopted the name To be left as such in perpetuity. Now another aspiring conqueror is mandating his new name. Because he cannot fully bully the nation of Canada, and unable To get what he wants, he has renamed the lake out of spite. Following his 'Gulf of America,' he is calling Ontario 'Lake America.' Most likely, when he is gone, the former name will recur. Such disruptive actions are nothing more than childish. We soon need to shift back to gentle governing: Soon.
