Tariffs--A Remedy for All Things? We are told that tariffs will fill our coffers. The truth is that tariffs are paid for by the receiving country; Definitely not the country sending the product. Any funds received by the 'tariffing' country Are paid for by the citizens, who contribute To the increased price of each item. Prices will go up to cover the tariff and the tariff 'income' Will go, in addition, into the treasury of the tariffer. Will those citizens learn they are paying for this new 'tax'?
