YOLO
COUNTY LOCAL MENTAL HEALTH
Board of
Supervisors
Throughout the year,
the Yolo County Board of Supervisors makes decisions affecting the lives
of people with psychiatric disorders living in Yolo County. Until
recently, NAMI members have had no regular notification of when issues
important to the mental health community were to be decided.
Board agendas and
minutes are also online and give a window into decisions made by the
board that may be relevant to the mental health community. The Board meets regularly on
the first, third, and fourth Tuesdays of the month at the County
Administration Building located at 625
Court Street, Woodland.
Questions regarding an agenda
item should be directed to the County Administrative Office at (530)
666-8150. Questions regarding action taken by the Board should be directed
to the Clerk of the Board at (530) 666-8195
County Behavioral Health Directors
Association of California
Although a statewide organization, the
California Mental Health Directors Association website is an excellent
resource for identifying the issues and challenges facing county mental
health systems. Their website provides
unique insight into public mental health issues.
The
Small Counties Committee,
which includes Yolo County,
is responsible for identifying the unique issues small county mental
health systems face and for making policy recommendations. White papers,
meeting minutes, agendas, legislative issues are available online at their website.
