NAMI-Yolo's Family Information & Referral Service Telephone provides
information, referral and support to all who have questions about or are
affected by serious mental illness. At present, we use an answering service. Please leave a
message along with a phone number where you can be reached. A NAMI
member will get in touch with you with help, information and support.

we provide general (non-professional) information on illnesses such as
schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression; issues affecting
children, adolescents & young families; general questions about
medication; NAMI programs (such as Family-to-Family and Living with
Schizophrenia); NAMI policy positions (such as mental health parity
… and a whole lot more!

support groups and to other organizations serving the needs of those
affected by serious mental illness

from trained volunteers - consumers and family members - who know what
it's like and who've "been there"!
The Helpline
does not provide counseling, legal advice, medical advice, or direct
referrals to professionals (psychiatrists, attorneys, etc.). We are
volunteers who wish to share NAMI's general information and experience
with serious mental illness.
